Oklahoma Linkebacker

Jan 4, 2013, 1:32 PM

Whose the LB that followed Venables?
How many years of eligibility does he have left?
Does anybody know if he is slated to make any impact next year?

Wow, 3 star recruit beating out our heralded 5 star LB?

Jan 4, 2013, 1:59 PM [ in reply to Answers.... ]

That's disappointing.

Re: Wow, 3 star recruit beating out our heralded 5 star LB?

Jan 4, 2013, 2:07 PM

Why is it disappointing? I don't care if it is a 5* or a 1* if they are an impact player they deserve to be on the field. I think we are seeing some very underrated guys make an impact instead of the 5* failing to live up to expectations. If you don't think Anthony is a beast you haven't been watching him play.

yeah, it's stupid of me to be disappointed the #9 overall

Jan 4, 2013, 3:12 PM

recruit of 2011 might not be contributing as much as we had hoped. Did I say ANYTHING about not playing the better player? Is this normal for you to twist others' posts in order to puff up your chest from a contrarian standpoint and criticize them?

gaines adams and andre branch say hello***

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

WTH do Adams & Branch have to do with Tony Steward?

Jan 4, 2013, 3:14 PM

Are you that lazy you cant even capitalize their names in proper respect, especially for Gaines?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That hasn't happened. Will have to be won on the field

Re: Oklahoma Linkebacker

Out of high school he went to Michigan before transferring to Oklahoma, not sure if any eligibility was used in all of that.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Thanks for the answers!

Jan 4, 2013, 3:43 PM

Also, when a player is sitting out for a year because of transferring are they allowed to practice with the team or are they used primarily for scout team?

Re: Thanks for the answers!

Jan 4, 2013, 3:46 PM

He's eligible to practice, period. He wouldn't be getting reps with the guys who would play, however. So, his practice experience would be scout team. Having said that, however, he really made a great impression playing scout team.
