But, he's one of the most knowledgeable sports broadcasters I've ever heard. People call in with questions about Texas Southern's offense and he'll reel off names of relevant players. He can do the same with numerous sports.

Walt also evaluates talent extremely well. Whether the guy is going from HS to College or on to Pro, he's insightful and you can tell he spends hours reviewing tapes. He's not always right, but he's right a whole lot more than he is wrong. Mel Kiper can't hold his jock when it comes to NFL Draft prognostications. Does he toot his own horn?! Obviously. He's in the entertainment industry. If he's not pimpin' himself, who will?

No, I'm not Walt nor am I related to him. I've never met him. But, I'm glad he's on WCCP and hope he's here for a long time.
