Thanks for posting that. We all need a dose of perspective periodically - to re-visit our blessings and re-assess what’s really important.

Thanks to this young man for convicting me of failing to make eye contact and interact with people with disabilities.

I suspect we’ll see him in Death Valley soon and I look forward to standing and clapping for him.

God bless Hayes and his family. Having a child with cerebral palsy, or any disability is a major undertaking. It changes your life, and lifestyle forever! My wife, and I have been to 3 Clemson games in the last 10 years. When Benjamin was smaller, we could handle the trip and him, he is now 22 years old and weighs over 160lbs. The challenges are to many to list....however, the blessings and joy Ben brings far outweigh the small "burdens" we face! He wakes at 530am every morning with a big smile and a bigger good morning! And... every morning, without fail, he asks us to put on his Orange! He wears orange everyday folks! Please say a prayer for this family, and I have all ideas that Dabo will be seeing you soon Hayes! Thats the kind of coach we have, thats what Clemson family is! GO TIGERS!

And in touch with Dabo! He deserves to be on the field. Strong young man for sure.

Are y'all trying to make us look foolish at work?

A fully grown man willing to admit I just had to get up and take an emergency bathroom break.

Just cried in the men's stall something fierce and I couldn't feel any more manly about it.

@DavidHood and any other administrator. Number 1 goal: Get this child the experience of being embraced by the young men of our Clemson Football team so he can feel the family and support I know they’d provide. Please bring this video to Dabo, because I know he will embrace him.

What a great Tiger Cub! Takes a lot of bravery to share like that and an important reminder for all of us that there are people all around who need friends and a friendly word, some have health issues but many are just the elderly, lonely and friendless around us every day.

I would be shocked if that wasn't already in the works

I'd bet good money this young man will be at a practice or two this spring

I was tearing up by the 0:20 mark in the video. This kid is a heck of an inspiration. There is no doubt that Dabo will have him on campus soon to become a part of the Clemson family.

Made my kids watch it to have some appreciation for people that have real problems and maintain a positive spirit. Heck of a kid.

Cerebral palsy is caused by a virus...maybe think about retitling your article with another adjective.

P.S., I GREW UP NEAR CORNELIA, GEORGIA, AND I GAVE UP A SCHOLARSHIP TO ANOTHER SCHOOL TO GO TO CLEMSON. HOPE YOU CAN BE ANOTHER GEORGIA BOY WHO BECOMES A LIFELONG TIGER.

What a great, inspirational video. I wish you all the best!

Hayes - I am sending an internet hi-five your way. You are a champ and I am sure you have inspired many others to be champs with your message, myself included. Definitely continue to spread your thoughts, be strong and try to do the things you can't, just like you said. I will remember your message daily, too. The world needs more people who think like you! Hopefully I can give you a real hi-five someday at a Clemson game. You definitely have a friend here - Stay strong bud!
