Gee, you have a short memory, that's the American way. BUSH and the Republicans blamed CLINTON for 9/11, until the Senate hearings pretty much threw that one back into Bush's(and his terrible idiot AG Ashcroft) court.

Bush takes a lot of S--T on his responese in New Orleans but the fact is that governer prevented him responding and repeatedly declined federal support until it was too late. The fed/fema just cant respond; they have to be invited so to speak but local/state authorities and the Lousiana governor repeatedly denied Bush's offer to provide federal assistance.
The local democrats in power made that situation worse than it had to be by preventing federal aid but you'll never read about that and Bush has too much integrity to air dirty laundry.

Don't let those pesky little facts get in the way of Bush bashing. Why don't you get your president to release those transcripts so the Red Cross can get 5 million. Let the American public see how smart he is. This really could help a lot of people that are in need.

My friends from (and with relatives still in) New Orleans who went to Tulane would DISAGREE, they felt Bush was more concerned about his home state of Texas and the damage there and put them on a back burner until the bad publicity forced him to help Louisiana. And both of them said that Obama was the first Democrat they and their families(military) had ever voted for because of Bush.
