My wife came home with a rutabaga and was like, "Check out this turnip!" So I guess we'll be cooking that somehow. My mom stopped by earlier and dropped off shrimp cocktail and homemade pumpkin cheesecake for us. Other than that, gonna be standard fare.

Extra bacon for mac and cheese is cooked.
Turkey is thawing, will prep about 9 am and get in oven around 10, then start on Mac and Cheese and Stuffing (or dressing for you Southern folks) - take turkey out about 12 and let rest for an hour while Mac and Cheese and stuffing bake. Pig out about 1pm. Is there football?
Cheesecake from Juniors is here as is a 7 layer Caramel cake from Caroline's in Spartanburg (I do not make sweets)

Cooking gruyere & parmesan scalloped potatoes in the morning. Putting together a cheese board as well. And toting along a bottle of Tattinger, 1 Pinot, 1 Boujelais, & a bottle of port.
No clue what the rest of the family is doing other than turkey & dressing.

Two briskets about to go on the offset (don’t trust the pellet grill for that yet), throwing the ribs on early morning with a few Turkey legs for the dinner crowd at dads tomorrow night.
I sure hope someone has something cooked up to help breakdown that protein.

in the oven now. Boiled eggs for Deviled eggs also boiled, shelled, ready for tomorrow.
Also doing crock pot mac and cheese, collards and mashed potatoes tomorrow.
Picked up a smoked turkey from a friend's church group today. Going to air fry the turkey (inejct a simple marinade, need to get that ready first thing in the morning and make sure the fryer is good to go. The rain/cold may add some cook time, but it's just the 3 of us this year, so we only have ourselves to blame! I have a feeling we're going to be freezing some food for later this year.

Had planned to go ahead with Mac and cheese tonight, but got lazy and just made cornbread for stuffing/dressing. So tomorrow we have pumpkin pie, pecan pie, mac and cheese, (vegan and regular), mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, stuffing/dressing and carrots.

Homemade stock and carrots in drip pan
Eggs boiling for gravy (thanks whoever that was that mentioned eggs). Mrs Fluff loves them in gravy, reminds her of grandma
