Off Topic, but I spoke to a shop owner earlier this evening

who had purchased 16 Pokémon "Lures" for the day. He has a soda and ice cream shop and apparently these lures bring customers in to the store. Can somebody explain how that works? Why would a business owner want fake Pokémon's around his business? He says the Chamber of Commerce recommended it. Jeez.

Pretty much exactly the "target audience" I'd expect for a soda and ice cream shop. At least this video game gets people to get up off the couch and get some exercise. And no, I don't play it..

My entire "sad and pathetic" family plays PokemonGo. My wife and I have one child @ Clemson, and one in high school. All of us play and enjoy having "game night" be every single day and night. It's great competition and fun.
We have discovered nearby monuments, memorials, and other historical places that we otherwise would have never known existed thanks to this game. We've also met and talked to complete strangers that we might not have ever met otherwise.
So, tell me how exactly this is "sad and pathetic"?
Get over yourself. It seems sad and pathetic to you because you haven't taken the time to understand why it's so popular.
