Just reminded myself why I don’t change my own oil anymore

Backing out of the drive in the piled up snow popped off the plastic plate that protects the bottom of my radiator from gravel strikes. Just finished the repair all by myself.
I feel a sense of accomplishment but at my age and shape, let me say that crawling under the car 6-7 times is not the fun it used to be. It didn’t help that I couldn’t find my ramps and had to squeeze my melon under the bumper to see what I was doing. Also didn’t help that it took getting up and down for several trips to the shed to wind up with the right tools all at the same place & time.

Off Road Truck and Mr OSF rolls right under, not lift needed

And for tools... well its my truck, I do the running for the tools.
I had a place changed my oil when I had my transmission fluid change, it hurt Mr OSF feeling. So if he needs it, he's got it.

I can't change your oil, but I'd be willing to check it.

enough light and being able to get your glasses at the right angle.
I like doing some manly repairs etc sometimes, but that being down on the ground a long time, and getting up and down repeatedly, gets old quick.

Best part was contorting under the counter tacking the drain line loop up high. Hammer and/or screwdriver wouldn't fit. Almost got ticked off enough to pull the sink. And removing a wooden slat under the counter top was fun too.

having to stop in the middle and run to Lowes for a 90 degree elbow required to connect the water line, but not included. Yes, a $5 brass fitting required for installation was not included with my $700+ dishwasher. Thanks, Kitchenaid. It does work well and is very quiet. Has tons more insulation on the bottom access panel and all around the motor and pump.

Went to Home depot (granted, it's pretty close) to get the elbow....come home, go look in my 'plumbing' tool box for something else....and find a spare elbow i'd had from a previous DW swap.

And yes, mine is almost totally silent too. There's a little light at the bottom that shines red when it's running. ONLY wish they had a green one that would shine when it finishes.

with every single upsell opportunity available. Air filters, cabin filters, wipers, lights, tire rotation. Oh, you have 50,000 miles so you should get the synthetic blend. 100,000 lets go full synthetic. Need some cardboard pine trees? Car wash? Can we have your email address? What about your phone number?

Did. DID cover it back up. When I allegedly used to do that sort of thing.
