Odd's that Jimbo is at FSU next season?

I think the LSU AD is desperate (to save his own backside) and will open the checkbook big time. I say Jimbo is 50/50 about going to Baton Rouge. Tom Herman ain't going there, he'll be in Austin.

Why would he?

It won't help his situation unless he is just money grabbing. He is in a more talent-rich state, in an equally as strong division, for a team that can recruit as well or better than LSU. Plus he has more talent on the roster. And he doesn't have to go against Saban every year. We are becoming an elite program but are not quite at Bama's level yet. Soon we will be. But he's also got A&M who recruits well and Ole Miss who pays their recruits well. Also add in that both of his rivals at FSU are really down, so he can steamroll them for awhile. Literally the only reason to go to LSU is if he wants to make a little bit more money.

I think he's one heII of a gameday coach and it's just another element that makes our game against them every year mean that much more.

75% is too low...
His buyout is 33 Mil....
He is about 99.999999999% staying at FSU specially with Louisiana's budget issues.

The 33.5M is his buyout from the school if he were to get fired.
Per a USA Today article, this is what Fischer would owe FSU if he were to leave for another job:
"The 49-year-old Fisher will owe $5 million if he leaves Florida State before December 2016. The contract features a sliding scale, with Fisher owing $3 million if he leaves before December 2018 and then $1 million after January 1, 2019."
That's peanuts for any major program looking to hire him.

Who can FSU hire that would do a better job? I think he gets rid of Kelly the DC.

Supposedly he turned down LSU after last season so I don't see him going there. Maybe Texas? I think he stays in Tallahassee.

Short version is, LSU wanted Jimbo last year, apparently - or allegedly, depending on who's telling the tale - had an agreement-in-principle with LSU. Problem was, the state of Louisiana was having themselves a truly monumental budget crisis, was $900 million in the hole, and was in danger of having to shut down even basic government services at one point. The optics of spending gazillions of dollars at the same time to fire Les Miles and replace him with Jimbo apparently (or allegedly) made LSU's president reconsider and so they backed off.
They still have Jimbo targeted, and he still apparently - or allegedly - wants to go there. One fairly well-heeled FSU booster I talked to less than a month ago says a lot of people at FSU think Jimbo is indeed going to LSU and still has that agreement-in-principle with the Tigers. And wanting out of Tallahassee - and away from his ex-wife - is indeed a big part of all that. Also from what I hear, some of FSU's problem this year is that the players have heard that too, and there's a sense that Jimbo's just killing time until he can make his big move...whatever, Jimbo does not seem to have the same grasp on the team he has had in years past and the persistent rumor he's not long for the Noles isn't helping him.
For what it's worth. But it wouldn't shock anybody close to either program if Jimbo indeed does end up making that move to LSU at the conclusion of the season.
