20k 1-hitter is regarded by some baseball guys as the best game ever pitched. It is the highest "game score" ever recording by a pitcher at 105. The one hit in that game could've easily been ruled E5 (went off 3b glove) and a decent fielding 3B likely would've made that play.
Max Scherzer has the 2nd highest recorded game score (104) with his 17k no-hitter from 2015.
Also, if you are to consider the stage and stakes at place, the Don Larsen World Series perfect game certainly deserves a mention.

Johnson had the perfect game at 40. Ryan's was a no-hitter. For some reason, I'm thinking Johnsons was against the Braves

Don Laren's perfect game in '57 WS was with doubt the best game ever pitched in a World Series. But NOT the greatest game ver pitched in MLB.
Hint, no need to go back to the desdball era, think post WWII.
This was an amazing game pitched by both guys..
