ON BEING WOO-HOOED to death and surviving....

Nov 4, 2012, 9:24 AM

For those that hate the Woo-Hoo...you think being in DV and watching and hearing the Woo-Hoo is bad? Yesterday, after my niece's wedding in Charlotte my family gathers to watch Clemson-Duke...and I'll be doggone after every Clemson TD the whole crowd jumps up, does the bounce and WOO-HOO'S their as$es off. And for added effect, they kept doing C-L-E-M and leaving out the "d@mmit"....I forced a smile, then bowed my head and said a silent prayer: "Dear Lord, forgive them for they know not what they do!" lol

outnumbered to the extent that argument would prove futile! Additionally, by keeping my cool I preserved my ability to freeload off a wonderful bottle of Weller's Special Reserve supplied by Sister-in-Law. My chicanery knows no bounds! lol

I agree with your take on when it is best to stay silent. All of the younger fans seated near me in Death Valley always raise their hands to too early when we sing the alma mater. I wait until we sing "o'er the mountain height". That' what I learned in 1974. How about you?

grad, was responsible for the WOO-HOOing....Turned out that it was his Mother, who likes that kind of thing! Very difficult to trash the hostess...especially since she provided ALL the liquid refreshments! lol
