to the video board taking up valuable space. I thought there weren't going to be any ads on board. Did they just mean no ads on the sides but still as on the bottom?

the screen at the bottom was there last year and its function hasn't changed. It's nothing like the old scoreboard and if you can't tell that then you haven't been paying attention.

They basically just turned it from a extra wide screen board (16:7) to like a 16:6.
