Where do you rank this team in Clemson history......

Jan 12, 2016, 8:06 PM

did not win a national championship like 1981 team but won 14 games and probably would have won last night if not for several big mistakes from special teams......What a great season and performance from these guys.....very very proud of them........Go Tigers!!!!!

Gotta finish to go ahead of the '81 team. An easy #2***

Personally, i believe this team would beat any team we have fielded in the past. I say they are number 1 to date. But I also believe we will have another team very soon that will win the CFP Championship. Love these Tigers.

probably 3rd

the 1900 team was ridiculously good.
One home game.
Beat Bama 35-0.
We should self-declare a National Championship for that year. Yale was scared to play us.

1900: 6-0-0

Coach:
John W. Heisman
Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association Co-Champions

Davidson (NC) 64-0
@ Wofford (SC) 21-0

Not sure , that VA Tech game was broadcast on regional Raycom..prob lost some votes...prob had the UPI title

That 1900 team gave up way too many safeties.***

2nd . I love this team , I hate to say it but if you haven't got that NC trophy with your names on it then the 1981 team is still the best football team ever at Clemson University.
Don't need time-frame or circumstantial references, there really is no argument.

1990 team might be the most talented squad to step on a college field

That defense and oline looked like it was made in a nuclear testing lab. But we had Hatfield running a 1950'S style offense and obviously no Watson. Watson with that team, and our offensive scheme would beat bama by 40 points.

QB was Dechane Cameron, I have to admit I have no memories

Jan 13, 2016, 11:40 AM

of him whatsoever. I checked out during the Hatfield era, as did a lot of Danny Ford supporters. Not proud of it, just telling it like it is. Couldn't stand Hatfield from Day One.
