So we lost to UNC in OT 89-86. We beat the Coots.

We were pretty close to being a solid team. We lost to so many tournament teams by under 5. Will we make the tournament next year? What's your opinion?

In all honesty, if we had been able to finish out our games through the season, I think we would've made a deep run into the tourney. Maybe S16, not sure we were F4 material but heck, with the way we played in the first half of our games, who knows.

Did you notice how many of the teams in the Sweet Sixteen,Elite Eight,and Final Four all
had dominating "BIG "men.?
Did you notice how many dominating "Big" men Clemson had this season?
Does Brad have any dominating "Big" men recruited for the foreseeable future?
O.K.maybe we did beat the coots and lose to the holes in O.T.but how many games could we have won with a dominating "Big" man?
Who knows,but my opinion is that without a dominating "Big" man,we won't make the tournament next year,or for that matter most years.
Teams with small line up's can play competitively in spurts,but not over the long haul.
You need a dominating "Big" man whose presence in the post is crucial.
Just my opinion.

a consistent PG(Mitchell), which could develop, but as of now he is sketchy and turns the ball over too much. He has potential. We need a deadly 3pt shooter, but I don't see that on the roster. We need a consistent big man who can also play D. Thomas' D was weak this past season. The PG(Mitchell) and big man(Thomas) could develop. They have potential.

NCAA baseball tournament too! This year and years to come! We don't have a dominant big man or physical enough players to make the big dance next year.

Man that is why recruiting is so important as part of a coaches DNA. Brownells job is the same as any basketball coach in America. It's imperative that he go out and do what is needed to sign the best players. Hiding behind the squeaky clean image is not cutting it.
