Front Page Story: Daniel: "Standing by my commitment"

Oct 24, 2012, 2:46 PM

Daniel: "Standing by my commitment"

4-star defensive end Elijah Daniel’s commitment to the Tigers has seemed shaky in recent weeks, so it was easy for most to believe a tweet from Daniel's account that he had de-committed. Full Story »

100% committed.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Where do you get that from

Oct 24, 2012, 3:01 PM

"I am just committed to Clemson, and other schools are talking to me. That is all" do you expect for him not be be contacted by other schools?

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

There are a lot of top recruits out there who

don't view the word commitment as it should be defined. Another one of our 2013 "commitments" has been quoted as saying that Clemson is not "recruiting him as hard" as some other school since he committed to us. They need to realize that once you give tour word that you are coming that only minimal contact should be needed after that point. The other teams and the AJC sports people are the ones who will knock your door down after then.

Correct. There is too much smoke here. And his words about

just waiting until the end of my season to deal with all that and not sure what his schedule is for other visits at this point.

This is huge. Call me crazy, but I was more impressed by his highlights than I was Nkemdryuhjchie's.

Daniel is a beast and with him, Pagano, Robert, and possibly Adams? Man!! I would even consider throwing Reader on the line with them if we fail to get Adams as younger guys who will make a difference.

Add Dane Rogers to the mix as well. Big commit.

Seriously?... More overblown reactions to booing

Oct 24, 2012, 5:36 PM

typical non-sense from the 'thin-skinned' crowd.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Thin skinned crowd?

Oct 24, 2012, 6:32 PM

I'm guessing you were one of the ones booing. Not sure how you can defend booing during one of the proudest moments of a young persons life. The swearing in to the US Military. Those young men are swearing in to protect those same truly thin-skinned people that booed during their swearing in. Guessing you were one of the boo-ers and/or agreed with it and are trying to rationalize it.

There was nothing political about the swearing in, and the embarrassing political booing but a good amount of the fans present is a big deal.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you are guessing wrong

Oct 24, 2012, 6:51 PM

So stop guessing...

I was at the game and I barely heard any booing. I don't know why everybody is freaking out about it.
Yes, they booed and it was disrespectful, but it wasn't the first time a president was booed and it won't be the last.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

2 words...FREAKING AWESOME---YES!!!

or was that 3?

All he said was he's not thinking about recruiting right

Oct 25, 2012, 7:13 AM

now so he's standing by his previous commitment. That just means we won't know anythign until HS football is over and he has a chance to visit everywhere.

Far from over...this just means he hasn't had a chance to think it all over yet.

Re: Front Page Story: Daniel: "Standing by my commitment"

Oct 27, 2012, 9:07 AM

Nothing in that story says that he is going to keep his commitment to Clemson. Basically, all he said is that he's focusing on the season for now and will worry about recruiting after it's over with it. Pretty deceiving headline.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Now says we probably don't get a visit

Oct 29, 2012, 7:46 PM

Set up Miss St visit. Already took official to Marshall. So for his last 3 he will go to UF, Ole Miss and maybe Miami.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I saw that
