He's a really transparent liar. Same thing about his way of blaming it on the players. He says "we have to coach them better" but then when pressed to elaborate he quite quickly spills the beans that he's essentially deflecting for the players.

He's a snake that has adjusted based on popular perception of his personality flaws.
