Notre Dame...character?

Let me first state that I am from Rhode Island. I grew up in New England, with a solid foundation and loving parents. I went to Clemson over a laundry list of Florida schools, Oklahoma, and USCe. I now work in North Carolina and travel quite frequently, in a job that I secured due to the friendships/molding I received from a good family and within my Clemson "family". Currently, I am staying in South Bend, IN. The ND student body is mostly composed of the worst people I have met in the ACC. Being priveledged is one thing; letting your parents wealth determine how little you treat people with respect is another. It doesn't matter where you grow up; treating people with decency should be a priority. Apparently, ND students haven't been raised right--shame on their families. Granted there are outliers everywhere, however, (overall) these people remind me of Dukesh-bags. They won't get much love from me when they come down to Clemson. Be weary Tigers, they are awful (think Long Island douchie). Sadly, I'll be pulling for crab legs based on my experience--and that is a major stretch for me.

Sorry this is long! I could care less what kind of fans Notre Dame has, nor for that matter the Dookies or TarHoles. When Notre Dame comes here next season,I will be pulling for Clemson. Same holds true for any team. Now personally,I do not know any Notre Dame fans, but I do know a few FSU fans who are as ignorant, and assinine as any people I know. They are also blind when it comes to the way Jameis Winston gets away with the $#!+ he has pulled over the last two years, and even more blind when it comes to how that scum bag of a head coach Jimbo Fischer believes that thug. Everybody, and I mean everybody I have spoken too knows the only reason Jameis has not been kicked out of school,or suspened like Todd Gurley(UGA) is because FSU can't win a National Title without him. That is the only reason Winston is still a part of the FSU football team. I am in my mid 60's,and have never once pulled for Notre Dame. Saturday's night game is "not" a conference game like Clemson vs FSU is,so the winner has no bearing on how the ACC race plays out. There are, however National Title implications on the line, and I don't want either team to play for,let alone win the National Championship. Still, if Notre Dame wins,I won't hear a word, but if FSU wins those few people I know won't shut up, so for the first time ever, and hopefully the only time,I will be pulling with all my might, and heart for the Irish. And if the Noles should win, maybe Famous Jameis, and Jimbo can enjoy a dinner of crab legs donated by the faithful alum who believes the excuse Jameis had for not paying for those crab legs in the first place. And this is definitly a major stretch for me as well "GO IRISH".

Hard to pull for either BUT needto remember that a FSU loss could likely keep the TIGERS out of the Orange Bowl.

However the people you will meet at the game next year will probably be different because 90% of their fans have no affiliation with the school whatsoever.

Sounds like you were out last night at Eddy Commons and got shot down by a trust fund baby.
I live about 30 minutes from the Notre Dame campus and in my opinion ND is no different than many private schools as far as student body. I have family who either attend or have attended ND or Saint Mary's on scholarship and have met a lot of students and parents. I haved found the ratio of ####### to non-asshole no different than at other places. The only exception is that there are many more luxury SUVs at the tailgates.
You should go over to IUSB and look for some more common folk over there next time.

Not sure what this is all about. Are there jerks at ND? Undoubtedly so. Reading your post, you seem to be damning the entire ND student body based upon the acts of a few, or maybe the acts of one. Your statement that "treating people with decency should be a priority" does not tell much. Because you provide zero details, we are all left wondering what "indecent" act or statement you complain of.
