Not to be nostalgic, or to harp on "the good old days", because we're on the threshold of a whole new era in Clemson football with more promise than we've ever seen, and I know I'm preaching to the choir, but that toughness you speak of is exactly what Danny Ford coached and demanded from is teams, a toughness with which he built "2-3 star" talent into National Champions. A toughness that compelled programs like Nebraska and Oklahoma to send their S&C coaches to Clemson to figure out what we were doing so well. I still consider it one of the greatest quotes in college football when he said following the Orange Bowl win against Tom Osborne and his Cornhuskers, "...uh, well, we're just country boys."
