With the turnover we have on offense, that is probably pretty fair.

not bad till you consider we lose our qb and go down in rankings. LSU loses theirs and goes up in the rankings. Hmmmm

They have us #11 in 2015, #4 in 2016 and #2 in 2017
They also have the Women's Golf Team as National Champs in 2015!
Preseason rankings while the current season is being played. Way too much space to fill

This poll has some serious issues

SC at 13 is a joke. They lost 3 of their best players, maybe more if they declare. AND their schedule is tougher next year, UF cant be worse, UT is getting better and recruiting well, and they add Auburn....Louisville - with or without Teddy (which apparently they are top 10 with him LOL), these guys will find out its much tougher sledding in the ACC than in was playing AAAA high school teams. Notre Dame? They will be lucky to have a winning record with that schedule. I could go on, but Im getting bored with myself lol

Mike Davis, Bruce Ellington, Shaq Roland, Demiere Byrd, Brandon Wilds, etc, say hello. Until we prove we can beat them they should be ranked higher tham us. Losing Quarles, Clowney, Legree and Hampton will hurt them in the early games. They will probably have to outscore their opponents. We should be more solid on D.

only at the QB position, really

The polls, I think, will focus far too much on the fact that we'll be breaking in a new QB. However, Stoudt has been in the system for years, and the other two guys we have are among the more talented back- ups in the country. They'll also give a bit too much credence to Watkins being gone, as (a big if) Bryant returns along Peake, Humphries, Hopper, Williams, and the new guys.
What they'll miss in all of that is how much of a very good defense returns, even if Beasley does go pro. Frankly, while I don't know that Lawson will have the sack numbers Beasley has, I don't think we'll see much fall- off. In fact, I think Lawson will be better against the run, while I expect Crawford and our DTs to be more disruptive. Our LBs and DBs should also improve. This will mean that whoever plays QB won't be relied on to score 50 points/ game for us to win.
So I actually think 18 is a bit low. If Clemson beats OSU in the Orange, they'll finish somewhere between 6- 10. I don't think losing Boyd while improving in other areas merits a 8- 12 place drop.

Do they do absolutely no research at all...

....the 80's by far was our best stretch in program history and if I am not mistaking the late 80's early 90's we had 4 straight 10 win seasons. If I am wrong I am sorry I should have looked to make sure but I am pretty sure I am right....
