Clemson hasn't won it all back-to-back. Alabama was last year's champion and they were consensus. If you're discounting that consensus because The Coley Matrix named UCF as number 1 last year after they went 13-0, that's really stretching it. That old BCS computer was always kind of screwy.

We weren’t consensus in 2016. CM gave it to Bama.
CM needs to go away.
The computer polls made the BCS a joke. But the SEC loved it. The SEC created it.

BCS computer must be an old Apple IIe from the early 1980s bogging down as it runs "Oregon Trail".

After a while I think I finally understand what you are trying to say.

With our win this year we have been the two most recent consensus national champions since last year there was a split (very questionable) between Bama and UCF.

That still doesn't make us back to back, but we are the last two consensus champs technically.
