May 19, 2020, 8:43 AM

hopefully this is just an outlier, but cases risen have risen above their initial peak in only 4 days. Most of this is Miami Dade.

that is the bad part. the stats were showing no new deaths in our county in almost 2 weeks, took that as a good sign and we based some decisions off that.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That’s too bad.

And MSM has told me the COVID-19 is a racist virus, so that data makes sense.

At least there aren't many old people in Florida.

lol, that started on last Friday. Traffic was great today. I think a lot of people came down here for one last hoorah and to put their boats in dry dock.

I think everyone knew the virus would spread and everyone would eventually be exposed. There was no way to stop it. The original intent was to 'flatten the curve,' which would prevent medical facilities from being overwhelmed and collapse.

States are suggesting, at a minimum, that old and infirmed remain separate from the general pubic to prevent exposure.

There is no science behind remaining shutdown. States which are still shutdown continue to see the virus spread and states which are open continue to have the virus spreading.

My observation is that most who argue about this are choosing one of the two extremes rather than considering a mix of being shutdown and wide open. Somewhere in the middle is the correct solution for each state and that is why the federal government is not dictating how states will or will not reopen.

The most annoying thing about this is people who want to cheer when early opened states have increased suffering.
