If he isn't cleared by the NCAA by a certain point, he won't be coming to Clemson this year.
If he's close to qualifying, then prep school may be best case scenario returning with next year's class like Shaq Lawson did this past season.
If he's not close, then JUCO perhaps and after that his status with Clemson is considerably less certain.

If Clemson has such high admittance requirements for athletes, how can a kid that barely qualifies by NCAA minimum requirements have a chance to get in. Surely he won't meet the even more stringent Clemson requirements if he's marginal in the clearinghouse.

I don't think it's a score/gpa issue...it's more of a timing thing. He should be able to enroll in August.

The eligibility requirements are straightforward the way they are written - you need a combination score and gpa on a sliding scale in 16 "core" classes. With Lawson, wasn't the problem that the NCAA didn't like some core course he took in another district after graduation? I'm guessing it's something similar, where a stickler is arguing whether or not some course counts as one of the 16.
The rules change in 2016 to where they have to successfully complete 10 of the 16 before the start of senior year, and have a higher GPA than 2.0 in order to play as freshmen.

We all know which school has the better academics. That's a FACT, jack. U$uC fits in nicely with MSU, Ark, ole miss, and etc.

Well if he's from Georgia, lets have the teachers/board of admin change his scores. Only 33 have Federal suits against them currently.
