A bye usually refers to a team that skips the 1st round

Of a tournament. I think that was why they mentioned that we have 2 open weeks "(not bye weeks)"

"Byes" are for tourneys, but commonly used for "open dates".***

We played Tennessee in the Peach Bowl after the 2003 season...was that game not on December 31st like it typically is?
