Putting it on pause and advancing frame by frame you can see him launch off his feet to deliberately land with all his weight on Murray's head/neck. Dude should have been flagged and thrown out of the game.

College doesn't have the "pile driving" rule like the NFL. 'Bama is dirty this way and they get away with it... they are a "physical" team, they will take every cheap shot they can and the refs will just watch it.

A quarterback in a passing motion is considered a defenseless player. I thought the standard was only forceable contact to the head or neck area. I would not consider this forceable contact but could certainly understand the argument.

targeting even though he had his head up. Of
course that was 4 years ago and they're calling
it different now, but it was pretty much the
same thing. It's a subjective call for the refs.
