Let me debunk some things I have heard
1). Flowe is committing to Oregon - while he is literally on campus at this moment at USC
2). He is upset that we accepted another 5* linebacker - to go to another school that has a 5* linebacker signed this year
2). We got simpson as a backup to Flowe. They aren’t related. This is a look into scholarship offerings and a realization that one more offer was available (the timing coincided with several other offers we had pop up as well)
I am really excited about Simpson regardless of anything else. Wilfong isn’t the end Allan’s y’all need to cool you jets. Flowe has great relationships with a lot of our incoming recruits so we will see what happens.

It'll all come out in the wash! Simpson is a great player and was committed elsewhere. He decommitted and we got him. Enough said!!!

Flaw in your theory. He plays a different LB position than Simpson. Flowe couldn't care less. That wouldn't be a factor. The rest of your stuff is probably accurate.

1. He can have decided and still take another visit, especially to a school that is less than an hour from his home.
2. I don’t think he is upset that we accepted another 5* LB. I think Simpson was plan B.
3. If the 2 aren’t related and they are both takes do you have any other theory as to why we slow played Simpson, a 5* LB that has been dying to come here? I think Flowe gave the coaches a courtesy call and they moved on to their plan B.
4. It’s not just Wiltfong, I think Flowe got 7 CBs to Oregon yesterday.

A lot of those guys just follow Wilfong without any true sense of what is happening.
BTW - he is wrong.

To indicate that Justin Flowe is trending toward Oregon is only because Clemson stopped recruiting him is misleading.
We’ve outlined here that to suggest one was not related to the other is wrong.
Flowe was given the opportunity to join this class. He didn’t take it. Could he have taken it on Wednesday? Maybe. But Clemson felt like the window of time (months) was long enough. And Oregon, as I outlined earlier, can offer some things Clemson can’t, like a familiar West Coast culture and location.
Meanwhile...
Trenton Simpson, on the other hand, has made his desires and intentions clear from the beginning through his words and actions.
How often have we heard that Swinney wants recruits that want to be at Clemson? His opinion is that Clemson sells itself.
I have changed my Crystal Ball to Oregon for Flowe.
Steve Wiltfong did it first almost two hours ago. Kevin Wade and Tom Loy did it second and third.

None of this is based on anything directly from him as he was on an official visit when all these CBs changed.
“Can offer a west coast culture?” That is the insight here? It’s weak.
Just remember Justin Ross recruitment. This is exactly the same.

What did he say that was wrong? He gave his opinion and most of it seemed logical. Clemson offered a guy they’ve been slow playing for months the weekend before signing day at the same position that the #1 choice plays. And Dabo has said that Clemson sells itself and he wants guys that want to be here.
Anything goes in recruiting and maybe he will come to Clemson, I’m no expert, but I think reading between these lines says that Flowe is not coming to Clemson. It sucks because he is really good, but we’ll be a top 4 team with him or without him.
