Despite a faltering game plan and players and coaches doing boneheaded things, we won. We probably didn't deserve it, but let's take the W and get the h*** outta the Plains as fast as possible even with good luck horseshoes stuck in our rears.

have been unlucky to lose. We didn't get lucky to win that game. They got lucky to make it a game and would have been even luckier to complete a Hail Mary to win.

the better team. A LOT of home cooking by the officials helped them stay in it (when even Jessie Palmer can see it...) but Auburn was using luck to stay in it.

No luck about it , we dominated defensively and even though our offense wasn't 110% effective , they never looked like they weren't going to be able to win it .
Not sure why you think we were lucky , we were clearly better than Auburn and "deserved" to win the game .

We played awful on offense, our special teams weren't exactly special, and play-calling was suspect.

The defensive front 7 played well, but even they got worn out at end of 2cnd half. There were mistakes and miscues on Clemson's side all night long.

It was the first game of the season, Auburn threw the kitchen sink at us, and their defense was really good.

Clemson played it's "C" game and still won. That's not luck, that's just being better.
