Is Georgia the new Notre Dame?

Feb 7, 2019, 7:40 AM

According to their fans, every new coach they hire is the coach that will bring back the glory days that last existed decades ago. Good recruiting. Tons of preseason hype. Win a few games, get a lofty ranking. Crap the bed when it counts, usually on national television. Get frustrated when coach can’t get them over the hump. Fire coach. Hire new coach that will bring back the glory days that last existed decades ago...

"I've played multiple sports and would bet any amount that I'm still more athletic than you at this present time...."

No, they're the same old Georgia.

Feb 7, 2019, 8:03 AM

They've been doing this since 1981.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Dang - you'd have to be extremely old (like me) to remember even the slightest hint that UGA had any "glory days".

Georgia is not the new Notre Dame

Feb 7, 2019, 8:08 AM

Notre Dame had glory days, with 11 national championships and the last one being in 1988. UGA had one glory day in 1980. So to compare the two programs is ridiculous.

"IDIOT POSTER OF THE MONTH SO FAR...GWP-- You have won IPM Award for your failure to completely comprehend a clear post & then choose to attack someone who points out your ignorance. While you are not yet in the same No Class Catagory as deRoberts, ClemTiger117 & Tigerdug23, you are getting closer to the Sewer Dwellers." - coachmac

If they want to be Notre Dame they need to hire Lou Holtz!

Georgia is the new Carlisle Indian School

They were good while Jim Thorpe was there, not so much otherwise. Replace Thorpe with Walker.

Well, the 'new' Notre Dame sucks out loud,

Feb 7, 2019, 9:08 AM

so yes, it's possible.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.
