We should be thanking Rod for becoming a premier running back. Had a friend who is a UGA fan ask me "Who is that awesome running back you have?" My answer: Rod McDowell. Kudos to Rod for reinventing himself in the weight room. With all his speed and moves, he can now move the pile between the tackles.

McDowell is the perfect story of being patient and being a team player and waiting for your chance. How many times have players been selfish is this exact situation (not just here, but other schools) and cried and whined and even transferred. For 5 seasons now McDowell has worked hard every day and waited for his chance to shine. Saturday he showed what hard work and dedication to a program looks like.

Did you notice how thick he has gotten, and with no loss of speed or great moves. He hasn't been whining or bitching, he's been in the weight room, and man it shows. He will be a great back for Clemson. I've always believed that a great part of talent is work ethic. Hot Rod is the living example of that.

thinking at one point around the end of 2011 that he'd just get recruited over drift down the depth chart. Not so as he has earned his position and doing very well with it. He played an excellent game Saturday night.
