Nike Proven shirts - How off is the sizing?

Feb 4, 2017, 6:30 PM

About to order the Proven T-shirt off of the fanatics site. I normally wear size L as I don't like baggy flowy t-shirts. Like them more fitted...but not tight under the armpits. Any recommendations? Heard the shirts run very small but wasn't sure if this was an exaggeration or not? I rarely wear XL...like a shirt to stay close to me so L usually prevents that but it can be hit or miss.

Your thoughts?

If you wear a medium normally get a 6xl***

I ordered XL for my husband and it was closer to a medium and it was cheap thin material. Ordered it from Fanatics. Last 3 things I have ordered have gone back. Clearly their quality is deteriorating.

Fanatics... I ordered a framed pic - haven't received it & they have not replied to my emails. Was suppose to ship on or before January 26th. I would never place another order with them.

Sizing is at least a size up, of not 2.
And its a super cheap shirt, worse than a fruit of.the loom under.shirt.
Avoid

Total junk on the Nike shirts. They need to stick to shoes.
Tigertown Graphics stuff is the bomb.

So you mean I've been dieting for nothing?

Feb 4, 2017, 7:31 PM

I ordered a XL and my wife laughed when I tried it on!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would recommend you go up one size.***

I'm upset that Nike can make those shirts big enough for our players, but I can't find one to fit me. I'm the size of a player, but nothing close to fitting me out there.

The girl at Knickerbockers says that you should go up one size. She said that they are "athletic" cut. I didn't know that was a thang.

Re: Nike Proven shirts - How off is the sizing?

Feb 4, 2017, 10:10 PM

My wife bought an XL from Dick's and after washing/drying it, I can't wear it since it shrunk at least 1 size. I don't like to look like Jesse Palmer in my shirts. She threw away the receipt for some reason, so I'm not sure if we can exchange it for a XXL.

Otherwise, the shirt looks nice.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I wear a medium or large depending on the manufacturer

Feb 5, 2017, 3:11 AM

I have a medium short sleeve and long sleeve proven shirt and they fit fine.

People on here complaining about the sizing may want to re-evaluate their diet, work out routine, etc... just kidding.

The shirts are an athletic cut, so if you are don't have an "athletic" body you should order a size up.

Re: Nike Proven shirts - How off is the sizing?

Feb 5, 2017, 7:50 AM

I think the fit issues are because people are just fatter than they previously accepted. I bought 4 nike tshirts in L and they fit like any other L shirt made after 2014, the wifes mediums fit well too. Nike clothing is true size these days not the old baggy style; maybe less donuts and more exercise.
