Nick Saban thought so little of Lane Kiffin that he was apparently willing to take a loss to Clemson just to get rid of him.

I guess Dabo and Clemson just got lucky that Kiffin was such a pain in Saban's @ss that he had to show him the door before the game and make it possible for Deshaun & Co. to win it all.

Obviously, Kiffin's absence was the difference. Think about it. Kiffin would have wisely instructed Jalen Hurts not to break loose for that long (and apparently game winning) score. Then, if Kiffin had been on the sideline, the Bama defense would not have folded up and allowed Clemson to march straight down the field for the winning TD.

Kiffin would have won the game for Saban --- if Saban weren't so stupid!!

But, honestly, getting rid of Lane Kiffin appears to be a national college football obsession ... from Tennessee, to SoCal, to the NFL, to Bama ... they all have one thing in common ... they all wanted Lane Kiffin GONE!

Saban REALLY wanted him gone, and he paid the price.

Lane knows ... and now we all know too.
