describing what happened and the emotions. I'm biased but think Don does an excellent job.

He and I were broadcasting majors at App State together and did many radio calls for App State football and basketball. I was his color analyst for two years on the App State network and we had a blast doing that together.

I got out of broadcasting and Don stayed committed to it and now finds himself the voice of our Tigers. Whatever you think of Don's calls, there is not a finer person on the planet. Just a solid gold family man who is loved by everyone who knows him. Great person and great friend.

As a kid, I dreamed of replacing Jim Phillips one day as the voice of the Tigers as my Dad had played for the Tigers. But since it's not me, I can't think of a better individual that I'd want doing it. And he loves Clemson!

Go Tigers!
