New black lab in da house!

fell into a great dog, was a donation as a pup to St Francis of Assisi Service Dogs. Raised and trained til a few weeks ago at Bland prison, brought back to Roanoke for Service Dog training. They decided she was "too hi energy", put her in their "career change" (adoption) program. Foster parents live near one of Mrs No's co-workers, who highly recommended us. We passed their scrutiny, and jumped the waiting list. She was bred by a local breeder thoroughly vetted by St Fancis, 62 lbs, will be 1 yr old in April, well trained, smart. Mrs No kinda got teary eyed when we got her. Life is good. Big dogs are awesome. Our lil yorkie mix is coping OK, but trying to establish dominance. Good luck wit dat.

14 yr old female black lab who died almost 2 yrs ago. Then we lost Jack the yellow lab Therapy Dog suddenly last summer, and have been labless, which is no way to go through life.

slept through the whole hoops game in it. When you have a couple big dogs pass on, you save all yo stuff for the next ones. St Francis wanted to give us a crate, bowls, etc,- we said, nah, we got all that stuff. That round bed was Buster, the inherited dog's bed. Orvis makes some nice dog beds.

Heck though he doesn't even want to get on the couch. He likes the floor behind my chair.

returns, discontinueds, etc to the Rescue Mission Thrift Store. That's where we get them. They make nice dog beds, but I wouldn't pay their catalog price for one.
I missed the naming of your new dog. Nice, and not suprising.

that stuffed toy was Bailey's fav for years. She carried it around a lot and never tore it up. We'll see how long it lasts wit this new pup.

not skin color. Maybe that's how we should refer to people, to solve some issues.
When people ask me what color are my dogs, I always say "pink".
Two are blondes, one is a brunette.
