New Story: Yeargin: No commitment but Clemson leads for 4-star defender

Yeargin: No commitment but Clemson leads for 4-star defender

Several reports surfaced Saturday afternoon that 4-star linebacker/defensive end Richard Yeargin had committed to Clemson. However, his family tells TigerNet that while Clemson leads, there hasn't been a commitment. What does the family say about Clemson? Full Story »

What's with all the "we" talk? His brother makes it sound like his whole family is going to play wherever this kid ends up (which is hopefully right here). Just something you don't see too often I guess.

With no other visits but Clemson his choice seems pretty

obvious. It's just a matter of "when" for now.

Hope he finds a home at Clemson...

His talents are elite and has the potential to be a pass rushing DE, OLB or safety. Come home RY3! TigerNation welcomes you!!!

and any h.s. linebacker who saw Tiger Linebackers play there would probably want to go to Clemson - Shuey and Anthony were simply terrific!

Seems odd to name another school this late but not commit to them.

Also seems odd to have Jr be III's older brother.***

I like their approach to the recruiting process. It may bother those that hang on every word out of a 17 year old's mouth but @ least people want be cussing this kid for jerking them around through the whole process. I think we will get him.

Agree. The family seems to just want to make the

This is the biggest decision that he has had to make, I

think he had some doubts about ND and decided to distance himself before the last minute. This allows ND to fill his spot and he can make the decision that will benefit him the most. Quietly Venables is turning Clemson back into Line backer U. I think he wants to play and have a great college experience and Clemson looks like the place for him.

Brother is Yeargin Jr.??? He is Richard the 3rd

Jan 25, 2014, 10:27 PM

Do they have a younger bro Richard IV?

I'm lost

DE

Jan 26, 2014, 3:51 AM

Bit small for a DE, unless they want to try to add a little weight to him and use him as a speed rusher like Vic. Wherever he may end up and position he may play, I wish him the best. Hopefully that is here though.

Re: DE

Jan 27, 2014, 1:55 PM

well this kid is 6'4 225.. Vic played at 225 and is an inch shorter.. so what's the issue here? He will add weight obviously but I would love to see him at about 235-245 he can play Linebacker at that size.. I mean look at what UGA did to that harvey-clemons kid.. they made him into a safety. So i think the coaches will make the right decision.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Huh?

Jan 26, 2014, 6:27 PM

Wait, so Richard the III is the brother of Richard Jr? Explain that one to me.
