Replacing Hobby and Brooks: What's next for Swinney and the Tigers?

The departures of Marion Hobby and Dan Brooks have left an opening on Clemson's coaching staff, and whether Swinney fills the position now or later doesn't change the fact an experienced line coach will need to be brought on board. Full Story »

Next question.

He sucks as a coach

As soon as I saw his name and before I read what Hood wrote about him bad mouthing Clemson, my initial reaction was: NO! He really is awful.

Plus that sumofabitch is the one that pulled up and left Clemson. For as long as i can take a breath of air in my lungs, I would never want to see Chriss Rhump on our side lines ever again. And I don't IDK how good of a recruiter they say he is bc, he has to lie his lieing A$S off to recruit!!!!!

Tracy Rocker played for Auburn, so his ties to Georgia might not be so tight!

Bruce Feldman is reporting that he is seriously considering a move to the Jaguars. Losing a DE and DT coach in the same offseason could be killer. Not to mention how much it would hurt our chances with XT...

Dabo leave campus, or get out of his sight for that matter, over the next few months. We don't need potential suitors trying to pry him away from Clemson right now. Out of sight, out of mind.

Maybe Drad could have a tracking chip inserted into Dabo's

arm while he takes a nap?

Like you say, we can't afford to loose another coach at this point.

I think that you're missing it with Dabo bc, I don't believe Dabo wants to or would he just up and leave Clemson!!!

Did you read the story? That's what it is all about. He already left

Why are you starting rumors about Coach Hobby?***

Diron Reynolds would be a great hire.

And he graduated from Aiken High School in 1989.

Dabo and Shaw are friends. No way Dabo would poach him

after just getting hired like that.

Diron Reynolds is a long shot

Left Oklahoma after one year to reunite with his wife and family who remained in California. Was at Stanford a decade prior to the one year at Oklahoma.

Agree 100% on Ryan

One thing that's clear about Dabo is that he's as organized and forward looking as any coach around. He has a plan and a list for every contingency. He'll make a hire that he and BV completely agree upon. With those two involved, I have no doubt it will be a home run, even if it's a guy we haven't really heard of

Da'Quan Bowers

was present and coaching at the Dabo Swinney camps last summer I could see him getting involved somehow if he doesn't get picked up by an NFL team next year.

i dont think he ever graduated

I could be wrong though.

but he could come back as help while obtaining his degree like Bill Spiers

@davidhood When Venables first got the job with Clemson he wanted to bring 2 Ok coaches with him but Dabo wanted to keep all current staff in tact. Is there a chance they might now bring someone from Ok?

Also regarding Rumph, I don't remember any problems while he was here. What is the reason for bad mouthing Clemson?

HALEY was at Clemson in '98 and was a disaster.

Bowden knew it and did not retain him. Not excited for any of these.

I've been wrong two times, but this isn't one of them.

D line coach hiring are not conducive to lateral moves.

They will move to LB coaches only if don't get DC.

Gotta promote from within.

Was looking at him. I believe he came from Memphis. So he talks trash about us? Just goes to show you can take the a$$h*le out of Carolina but you can't take Carolina out of the a$$h*le
