Dabo is more positive in his comments this year

I'm surprised how positive Dabo is about this years team. I thing he feels like this will be a team that could make it to the playoffs and be very competitive. I hope and pray our special teams are consistently good.

I'm glad Dabo puts his guys in a position to fight for the starting spot no matter if they are on scholarship or not. I think we all thrive on competing with others. We have had several guys who didn't think the needed to compete. They are no longer with the team.

They have repeated the fact that T.J. Green is getting ready to break out. He must be dominating in practice. I don't ever remember a player on defense getting more kudos before the season. I can't wait to see Kearse, Blanks, Green, Alexander, fields and etc. Playing together. I believe our defense is going to be the biggest surprise to other teams.

I wonder if they were kicking the beer cans at Slurrier?

Dabo is always like that. That's actually where the not so popular term "sunshine pumping" came from. Cuz no matter what, he's gonna find the positive in a situation. Or the way he'll reap praise on certain players that most know will not be contributing during the spring or falll, acting as if they're All Americans. I don't see any difference in him this fall camp. He's one of the most "positive" football coaches I've ever seen. That's just how he prefers to do it. Some don't like it, others love it. I find it rather refreshing.

Hunter mostly punted in high school. Not sure about his kicking (but I assume it's not a hard transition from punting?). He had mentioned to me about punting if the need arose.
