New England football recruiting

Feb 5, 2014, 9:36 PM

Clemson plays at least one football game a year in New England (Syracuse/Boston).

I count 14 total four star or better recruits from New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Six of them signed with local schools (Boston College, Penn St, Maryland, and Pitt).

But the other eight signed with schools that have no connection to New England (North Western, Michigan, Florida, Miami, Notre Dame, and Ohio St).

Should Clemson (with their connection to New England) be able to out recruit Michigan, Florida, Miami, Notre Dame, and Ohio St?

I understand what you're getting at here but...

Syracuse/New York is not in New England.

We do some selective recruiting from up that way.

I am sure if the staff finds somebody that is better than a southeastern prospect, they'll go balls ot the wall to recruit them.
