Clemson has become a very physical football team. I've watched them for years and I've witnessed the evolution. Look at how big the Clemson defenders are along the line. These guys are huge. And none of them are fat. All the cornerbacks and safeties look like they came out of the same mold...muscular, lean, and fast. I was comparing them against the FSU secondary and receivers...FSU guys look almost rail thin, cheetah-like to emphasize speed. The problem with cheetahs is that they can only maintain that speed for short bursts and football is a 60-minute game. Clemson players to me look to be in better physical shape. That is why in my opinion Clemson wins so many games in the 4th quarter...superior conditioning. You never, ever see a Clemson player sucking wind. The GT coach said stated after the Clemson game, "they were just so much more physical than we were at the point of attack..."
