The Cato Corporation bought it and will demolish it. Some of the acreage will be used for space for Cato's distribution, and the rest will probably be developed for commercial use.

Attendance wasn't the greatest there, so I can see why they moved...but I loved having run of the ballpark, except on fireworks nights. We had a Thirsty Thursday crew going pretty strong for a couple of years too.
