Just watched the rerun with Watson, Renfrow, William's, and Leggett... Not even to mention the D.... Man, it's still emotional....

in college football history. Jerry Butler's "Catch" was famous, but neither his catch, nor Rod Gardner's, or any others come even remotely close.
The most "important" catch may be 4th and 16 against LSU. But you can't get more clutch than DW to HR.

The real clutch catch was made three plays earlier by Leggett.
Without that amazing, acrobatic snag by Leggett, the catch by Renfrow probably never happens.

I agree with you, I was watching the last few minutes
while eating dinner and when I saw DW swelling up
I had to suck up some snot and when Dabo was crying
I let the snot go. I had the same feeling I had the
night of the game.Can't say enough about that team.

At the time I was thinking DW had probably run a 2 minute drill once a week every week since he was in middle school. And suddenly, at the end of his final college season, was a 2 minute drill for all the marbles. That's the stuff of movie magic.

I still love how the offensive players who contributed so much during the year all had significant roles in that last drive!
The 1981 championship was exciting, the 2018 championship was incredible, but that 2016 championship represents everything that's great about college football.
