Neon Deion talks truth about Watson

Mar 10, 2017, 12:09 AM

Good link I stumbled upon today. Sanders make some very valid points as to why Watson shouldn't go to the Browns. I agree. Looking forward to this Chiefs thing to see if it has any wings. IMO, perfect situation for Watson. Veteran QB, QB- Head Coach, great team, etc.
However, the host from NFL world stated that a team should do just the opposite. Select him first, then build him an offensive line. Interesting take, but needing to rebuild an organization ( Pro NFL Team ) starts in the trenches, not at signal caller. Pick up a Mahomes in the 3rd round, build a DL & OL. That's what I hope the Browns do.

Here's the link if you'd like to see some Neon

The way I see it is: Kyle Shanahan owes the second pick to the Falcons.

You think Matt Ryan will go back to being his old self, and Quinn picks up Watson? Too good to be true, would be a dream for DW4. He could win a championship there.

Ryan is traditionally terrible away from Atlanta. He is good but so would a lot of other guys with all that Atlanta has on offense. Heck, they drafted offense every year until Quin became HC.

I would love to see DW in Atlanta, with Quin's D having his back, like what was in Seattle, with Wilson at QB and Quin as DC. SF would have to give up more than that pick, though.

Watson is the Championship version of Michael Vick. No baggage included. Quinn is high on Clemson players, his record setters on Defense came from 2 Clemson players this year. Assuming Quinn thinks Ryan won't be the same after Kyle's Departure. Maybe...

With the Browns trading for Osweiler, the likelihood they

draft Watson diminished greatly (unless they take a stab in the 2nd round).

Might want to think twice about that...

They didn't trade for Osweiler. They traded for draft

picks and paid for them by taking on Osweiler's salary. Houston wanted to dump Osweiler to free up cap space (and presumably try to land Tony Romo) and since the Browns are still rebuilding and are going to suck again this year anyway they were willing to take on the dead money in exchange for some picks.

Throwing a young QB to the wolves behind a terrible OL

has ruined some high draft picks in recent years.

Oh btw.. this is how the Browns are going to get things

turned around. Their new management group has done a tremendous job acquiring assets. Of course they still need to draft well and turn them into something, but these aren't the same old clowns that used to run the Browns. There's actually a reason for optimism in Cleveland right now with this new leadership.
