The tournament made more money and had higher attendance when it was played in Greenville for several years, than at anytime since it was moved. Now it's as dead as a Senior sock hop! Some coaches thought it gave Clemson some huge advantage when it was played in their backyard. It did because Tiger fans supported it so well, but not THAT much of an advantage.
I don't know who it was, but the word out was that Mike Martin and a couple of the North Carolina schools coaches led the charge to get it moved. All well and good, but it should be back in G-Town, at Fluor Field every third year or so. Where it would be appropriately appreciated.
What a venue that would be! Plenty of motel rooms and restaurants for out of area fans and teams. Hey, Mike Martin! I've got something for you right here my friend.

I would love for it to be in Greenville but the ACC will not cave for the racists at the NAACP.
It really needs to move to Charlotte after they open their new stadium. It should be there and the Bball Tournament should also be in Charlotte.
Charlotte needs to become the home of the ACC.

agreed. Greensboro sucks. And regarding "home-field" advantage, its been in Durham a few times and that place blows. Charlotte would be better, stayed at the hotel next to it a few weeks ago, coming along nicely, right down town, near the football stadium, lots of good restaurants close by.
Of course greenville would be best.
