Need advice please.

Sep 21, 2013, 8:00 PM

So tomorrow I'm driving from Charlotte to Atlanta with the wife and kids. My son is 5 and daughter is 4 and we are stopping in Clemson. This will be the first time in tiger town for both of my kids. After seeing Death Valley we plan on grabbing a burger or something. Can you guys recommend a good spot that has a good tiger vibe that's still family friendly. Good greasy burgers are acceptable! Thank you in advance.

Mac's is more classic Clemson but BGR has a really good really overpriced burger and its downtown and close to everything else.

BGR is good if you like the taste of a grill on your burger. Mac's has better food but not better service.

not everything is open on Sundays around town

don't be disappointed if the first place you go to is not open. I've encountered that problem before.

One more question.

Mac's is closed on Sundays. Any other day, that would have been your best bet. BGR is terribly expensive and not very good in my opinion. I would go to Cookout. Good burgers etc and really good shakes.

Cookout! It's the busiest restaurant in Clemson for a reason! Really good food and great prices! Awesome shakes too!

Heck while you are at it try and run down the hill. We haven't added any security guards or anything yet, so it is probably not all that difficult to get in.

Since Mac's is closed another great option is Pot Belly Deli (PBD). I know it's not a burger joint but has great sammiches for lunch! Have a safe trip and great visit to the Best Place on Earth!!
