When Trump was throwing a tantrum about getting funding for a wall, instead of retorting with votes, they should have stuck with "I thought Mexico was paying for it"

paying the Border patrol and Homeland Security. They get to be home for the Holidays and the caravans get to pass through the border checkpoints unobstructed.

Nancy baited Trump with the "Trump Shutdown" and he fell right into it. Chuck baited him with the "you said 20 times you wanted to shut the government down" and he fell right into it.

They are both probably a bit surprised that he fell so easily into it and that it went so well.
