how about 1 or 10 or 1000. Of course having police is a deterrence to crime. I would assume that that line is asymptotic to some max, but I would be surprised if it started to go down at some point after it hit the max.
We will see how Minneapolis and NY and Seattle and LA and Atlanta do with less police. I would be shocked if my Republican City defunded the police.
Memphis is the 4th most dangerous city in America, I'm not so sure their smaller police force is helping.
