regarding Doeren are making CU and NCSU a rivalry.......it ain't a rivalry when you win once every 15 years!!! We call it collecting the rent, domination or just a good ol annual a$$ whipping!!! Bunch of wannabe's.

if that coach was ours and he made comments after comments just like what he did, I would have tried my best to push the AD to remove him as the head coach.
It would be more shame to have him as a head coach than losing football games a whole year.

The Coors are a rivalry and we own them just about as bad as we own NCSU.

The NCSU-Clemson game is already a rivalry and has been for a while, for many reasons:
- the schools are similar in history and scope (fortunately not aesthetic; that place is like 95% brick, and I tease friends that bricks have become their version of grass)
- on the occasion they've beaten us, it's often been in really crucial situations where we really needed the win
- the fan bases hate each other a lot. And it's not a good old-fashioned clean, respectable hate like Clemson-UGA or Clemson-FSU; it's bitter and ugly. Due to a networking connection I'm friends with dozens of NC State fans from ages 18 to 60; I don't like to talk NCSU-Clemson football with *any* of them, especially during game week, because they become aggressive trash-talking jackholes. For a team with the swagger of FSU and the record of SCar, their fans sure are a cocky bunch. I guess they have to be to hide the massive inferiority complex they all hold.
- their fans really like to talk trash about Clemson being rednecky but they have some of the most redneck, country-a$$, white-trash fans I've ever come across. They conveniently forget how much of their fan base is from rural Eastern NC which is absolutely one of the most country places I've ever been. Their student section in particular is just awful.
- their fans suffer a severe case of amnesia and act like it's actually a competitive rivalry
So I'm happy to think of it as a rivalry game, especially because crushing them on the field becomes extra-sweet. I'd never admit it to my Pack friends, but I love watching all of their hearts get ripped out of their chests year after year after year.
