I was looking at ACC teams' schedules over the past years to see how many were already playing two P5 teams OOC. I knew NC State played some bad teams but I had no idea it was this bad:
2013: Louisiana Tech, Richmond, Central Michigan, ECU
2014: Georgia Southern, Old Dominion, South Florida, PC
2015: Troy, Eastern Kentucky, Old Dominion, South Alabama

There's no reason to ever win fewer than 7 games, ensuring a decent bowl game. I guess if you're the runt of the Atlantic litter, it's not a bad plan.

Wow, yeah the whole "Well they were a top 25 team when we scheduled them 5 years ago" argument doesn't really apply to any of those there.

Needed to get out from under Texas. Unfortunately, they have accepted their 2nd tier status to the holes and can't do anything about it.

and then once ACC games start they struggle...I think I saw somewhere where they are 6-18 the last 3 seasons in the ACC with wins of GT, WF (2), BC, CUSE, and one more team.

NcSU ooc schedule is a joke. Beat wake and duke and get bowl eligible with a 2-4 conference record. This year they have to play Notre dame.

3) Clemson, FSU, Louisville, UNC,(coastal crossover opponent # 2) = 0 wins
Final Regular Season Record: 6-6 or 7-5 earning yet another trip to beautiful downtown Nashville to play Vanderbilt or Indiana the day after Christmas in the sleet.
4) Fex-Ex Shake-Weight Bitcoin Braeburn Apple Bowl in Memphis: L to Purdue 23-52. 0 wins
Season Record: 6-7 or 7-6. Repeat.
