My takeaways from the win over Auburn from reading tnet...

1) The offensive play calling was bad.
2) The offensive play calling was perfect. Enough to win, but kept plenty in reserve for another game.
3) Mike Williams is back, and better than ever.
4) Mike Williams is rusty, too many mistakes.
5) We just beat a very good team, on the road, at night, against a Gus who is coaching for his job.
6) We won't beat FSU, Louisville, etc... if we keep playing like that.
7) We missed a PAT and almost fumbled a long snap on a FG, Dabo was right to not go for 3 in the fourth.
8) Dabo lost his mind. Get the 3 and the win.
9) Field goals are almost automatic. Slight chance you miss, no chance they can be blocked/fumbled.
10) Field goals can be blocked and returned for a TD.
11) Texas blocked a ND FG try, same thing could have happened to us.
12) Texas blocked a ND FG try, totally different situation. Would not have happened in our game.
13) ND blocked a Texas PAT and returned it for a score, same thing could have happened to us.
14) ND blocked a Texas PAT and returned it for a score, totally different situation. Would not have happened in our game.
15) Dabo and Co. do not tell our players to stay in bounds, players need to be reminded.
16) Dabo and Co. do not tell our players to stay in bounds, but players should know it.
17) Dabo and Co. do tell our players to stay in bounds, but they don't listen.
18) Dabo and Co. do tell our players to stay in bounds, but players play hard and accidents happen.
19) We should have gone for the FG on 4th down.
20) We should have taken a knee on 4th down.
21) We should have made more of an effort to get the 1st down on 4th down.
22) If you play the odds and win, you were correct.

30) What almost cost us the game was a player not listening to his coaches.
31) What almost cost us the game was the prevent D.

I am hopeful Dabo is listening. There are a lot of good lessons in there.
