We got corn on the cob, mild Italian sausage wrapped in bacon with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, and veggies inside.
Oh and sippin on Maker's Mark because low on Eagle Rare.

brined, grilled. With our own kale sauteed w/garlic, onion, etc. And dried pintos in InstaPot. All came out well. Pork chops from Kroger less than I would normally buy, but OK. They ate good.

browned the chicken in butter and EVOO in a cast iron then cooked shallots, onion and garlic with mushrooms. Deglazed the pan with marsala wine and beef broth and then put all of it, plus some jasmine rice and more beef broth into a casserole dish. Blanched some asparagus and added it on top of the rice and chicken once it was pretty well soaked through. The corn I just boiled.

after spending 3 hours trying to retrieve our feral yard cat that decided to ride in the spare tire of the truck across town to RH Mom's house without me knowing it. I guess I'll make another attempt this morning...she was traumatized enough that she wouldn't let me pick her up. The same cat that followed Mrs. into the tool shed last weekend and got locked in over night.
