Yeah right . We fuel these guys at Cape Liberty about every other week . This is the Anthem of the Seas ...the one that got into that nasty storm a week or so ago down off of Charleston .

It takes some time to get into the Captains slot if you come up through the ranks like I did . I started on Mississippi River tugs when I moved out to Memphis in '93. I was a deckhand for 5 years , then I sat for the Captain Test in '99. Even then I was a Mate for 2 years , then a relief Captain for 13 more . If you went to one of the many recognized Maritime academies you could shorten that up to being a wheelman in about 4 years . It's equivalent to a BA in the real world . Some of the better maritime schools are Kings Point and SUNY in NY , and Texas A&M .

Yeah , we fueled her just before I went home on the 31st , she sailed and had to turn around . Fueled her again today , and there she goes .

I'm a tugboat operator . My boat's name is the Emerald Coast ...Dann Marine Towing , inc. Company is in Chesapeake City, MD. One of our owner's daughter is a rising junior at Clemson , ironically enough.
