We've been great this season...extremely outplaying expectations and even more so since losing Grantham.

The second half tonight was embarrassing. We were sloppy. Guys were falling down all over the court. Nobody could hang on to the ball.

Brownell did not not coach well in the second half. In the first 3 minutes FSU had huge momentum going their way - we needed a timeout but didn't take one. The team forgot about Devoe - we needed dedicated possessions going his way but we didn't do that. Late in the game, we should have fouled with 15 seconds left and 3 fouls to give, but didn't. In overtime, we should have fouled with 25 seconds left but let precious time burn off the clock.

Those are coaching mistakes. Obvious ones.

That said, go back to the first sentence of my post. Big picture, Brownell has this team competing and confident and WINNING. He's done well and I'm glad he's still here. One game doesn't un-do that, just like losing to Syracuse doesn't mean Dabo was suddenly a bad coach either. Let's go get the next one, Tigers.
