essentially took a $3 million dollar pay cut and the buyout was reduced by an additional $2 million after this year.

I guess his agent could be given credit for salvaging and maintaining employment for his client.

An annual $200K raise would change his annual compensation. Not sure I'd have figured that out myself...of course...word problems...so...
